This special event unites the new music of Zeitgeist with the verbal artistry of local humorist Kevin Kling.
For the Birds is a brand-new chamber suite by Victor Zupanc based on a series of poems by Kevin Kling, featuring Kling as narrator. The poems, written while Kling was watching the antics of various birds outside his hospital window where he was recovering from a motorcycle accident, are at once beautiful, tragic, ethereal and comic – a perfect vehicle for Zupanc’s chameleon-like musical sensibility.
