| Zeitgeist Composer Workshop is a five-day workshop designed to give emerging composers the opportunity to develop creative ideas and stretch their artistic boundaries in an environment that celebrates exploration and experimentation. In the workshop, the focus is not on the completion of a composition but rather on the generation and development of ideas and the exploration of musical possibilities. Each composer brings sketches of material to develop using Zeitgeist as a "laboratory." The workshop culminates in an informal performance, giving composers the opportunity to receive feedback from audience members.
This year, our composer participants are John Bower, Chris Cunningham and Mike Croswell, and we will celebrate their work in progress on July 28 at 7:30 p.m.
