Singers from Aliro Voices will perform an excerpt from Harrison's vocal work La Koro Sutro, and Zeitgeist will host a discussion on Harrison's musical activism. Lowertown Listening Session: Kathy McTavish - Hole in the Sky June 7, 2017 • 6 p.m. at Studio Z Duluth composer Kathy McTavish discusses her immersive sound and video installation HOLE IN THE SKY ahead of its presentation at Northern Spark 2017. HOLE IN THE SKY is a collaboration between Zeitgeist and McTavish featuring electronic and acoustic music, video, and an interactive exhibition. Lowertown Listening Session: Mary Jane Leach on Julius Eastman March 21, 2018 • 6 p.m. at Studio Z Author, composer and performer Mary Jane Leach discusses her work recovering the music of Julius Eastman, creating the book Gay Guerrilla with Renee Packard, and the New York City new music scene in the late 1970s and 1980s. An introduction to Zeitgeist's Early Music Festival.
